Holy Week is a very special time. It tells us a story about love, the greatest love of all.
It starts with happiness,
goes through sadness,
and ends with something wonderful: hope and new life.
Let’s discover this story together.
Palm Sunday: A Happy Welcome 🌿
One day, Jesus came to the city of Jerusalem.
People were very excited!
They waved palm branches and shouted:
“Hosanna!”
They thought Jesus would be a powerful king.
But Jesus came as a kind and gentle king.
He didn’t come to rule with power,
but to show people how to love.
A Sad Choice: Judas’ betrayal
Jesus had many friends called disciples.
One of them was named Judas Iscariot.
But Judas made a very sad choice.
He decided to betray Jesus.
He showed others who Jesus was by giving Him a kiss.
This reminds us that sometimes people make wrong choices…
but love is still stronger.
The Last Supper: A Special Meal 🍞
Before everything happened,
Jesus shared a special meal with His friends.
This is called The Last Supper.
He gave them bread and said,
“This is my body.”
He gave them wine and said,
“This is my blood.”
Then He did something surprising:
He washed their feet!
Jesus wanted to show:
love means helping and caring for others.
Good Friday: A Very Sad Day ✝️
On Good Friday,
Jesus was put on a cross.
It was a very sad day.
But even then, Jesus showed love.
He forgave the people who hurt Him.
This teaches us something very important:
we can choose love, even when things are hard.
Holy Saturday: The Quiet Day 🤍
The next day was very quiet.
Jesus’ friends were sad and didn’t understand what was happening.
It felt like everything was over.
Sometimes in life, we also have quiet and confusing moments.
But the story isn’t finished yet…
Easter Sunday: A Joyful Surprise 🌅
Then something amazing happened!
On Easter Sunday,
Jesus was alive again!
The tomb was empty.
His friends were filled with joy and surprise.
Jesus had defeated death.
This is why Easter is such a happy day:
love is stronger than death.

- To be kind, like Jesus
- To help others, even in small ways
- To forgive, even when it’s difficult
- And to always have hope
Because no matter how sad things may seem…
joy can come again.
